Day 1 – Trekking to Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca)

Pick-up and Travel to the South Valley
Our experience will begin early, with pick-up from your hotel at approximately 3:30 a.m. We will board our transport for a scenic drive along the Cusco South Valley route to the town of Cusipata. Here, we will enjoy a nutritious breakfast to fuel up for our hike.

Start of the Hike and Andean Landscapes
After breakfast, we will continue our journey by road to the trailhead. We will begin our ascent on foot, breathing in the fresh air and connecting with nature. Along the way, you will marvel at beautiful Andean landscapes, the imposing view of the Ausangate mountain, and the rich local biodiversity, observing camelids such as llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas in their natural habitat.

Arrival at Vinicunca and Return to Cusco
We will reach the great mountain range and finally stand before the enigmatic and spectacular red mountain: Vinicunca, located at 5200 meters above sea level. After enjoying the view and taking incredible photographs, we will begin the descent back to our starting point. There, our transportation will be waiting to take us to enjoy a delicious and restorative lunch before we begin our return trip to the city of Cusco.
